Nash (The Skulls #3)(45)
Author: Sam Crescent

Nash was never going to win an award for being a romantic, but Sophia loved him, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for him. Being an old lady certainly had its perks.

She giggled as he picked her up heading toward the bathroom. He was singing, and the smile on his face would stay with her forever.

Epilogue

Tiny watched as the prospect he’d assigned to take Eva home walked away from the house. The guy was given the security code to lock the gate behind him. He wouldn’t put her life at risk anymore. Out of all the women Eva always seemed to be the one who ended up in most danger, and he wasn’t having it anymore. Especially not with the history his club had, and not only his club but him as well.

They were not arguing, which he considered a good thing. She wasn’t giving him anything. Since their time in Vegas Eva hadn’t given him the time of day. The night she’d gotten drunk she’d forced him to relook a lot of things. She hated their time together and didn’t want anything from him other than a friendship.

He was trying, but in his mind and heart Eva was his woman.

Opening the door to his home, he made his way silently up to her room. He found her sat at her desk removing her jewelry and brushing out her hair. She was so beautiful. Her eyes were dark brown along with her hair, but there was something about her that drew her in. “The prospect only just left. Did you leave your party to follow me?” she asked, looking at him through their reflections.

“You left without saying goodbye.”

“I rarely stick around for your parties. I’ve only been invited to a few, and I wasn’t there for any reason other than the fact the prospect needed to be there,” she said.

She put the brush down and turned to him.

“The clubhouse is for you, Eva.”

“You screw your women there, Tiny. I’ve heard them all talking about your prowess in the bedroom. You’re a monster, a machine in the sack. This life is not for me. Tate is grown up. Lash and Nash are back on track. You don’t need me anymore.”

Stepping closer, he sank his fingers into her hair. “I don’t need you?”

“You’ve never needed me.”

He slammed his lips down on hers, tasting the vanilla on her tongue from the flavor tea she loved so much. Tiny had banned her from drinking after her outburst. He’d been surprised when she agreed to it.

Seeing Devil had reminded him a lot about his past. The men he’d left behind in his search for perfection. The past always had a way of catching up when you least expected it. In his gut, Tiny had a feeling his was about to catch up with him. When it came to Eva he’d been running from what she made him feel. Even Alex, Patricia’s brother, had told him to start moving on. Patricia was dead and was never coming back.

What he once felt for Patricia didn’t even begin to cover what he felt for Eva. The woman before him had worked her way under his skin, and there was no getting away from it. Eva was in his blood.

His dick thickened, needing inside her.

She pulled away from him. Her hands were on his arms, holding him off. “Stop this, Tiny. I’m not your dead wife, and I’m never going to be.”

He’d brought her up time and time again. It had been years, but Tiny didn’t feel anything for Patricia anymore. That part of his life was gone, and like Devil he was going to start taking what he wanted.

“This is not about her. This is about us.” He tugged her close, stroking a hand down to her breast. “And we’re going to do this, Eva. You’re going to be my old lady.”

She snorted. “It’s not going to last for long.”

“Why not?” he asked, fully intending to keep her by his side even if he had to bind her there with f**king handcuffs.

“My father is coming to get me. I’m leaving Fort Wills for good. I’m going back to Vegas.”

Over his dead f**king body!
