An Heir for the Billionaire(39)
Author: Terry Towers

"Oh God yes! Oh yes!" Her pussy tightened around him as she slammed down onto his lap, cried out and hit her climax.

"Keep going," Damon ordered when she began to slow her movements. He was getting close and was desperate to come. Pleasure was beginning to overtake his body, mixed with the intense tension. His balls were beginning to tighten - painfully tight.

Her pussy continued to tremble around his shaft. Each small tremble of her pussy pushed him closer to his own climax. She suddenly bucked hard on him, almost violently, and with a loud cry out her pussy exploded on him a second time.

The gush of her warm juices and the contracting of her core around him was his undoing. He groaned loudly, spewing a slew of obscenities though what he said exactly he couldn't say, as the dam broke and he came inside of her.

They sighed in unison as they both relished the feel of their bodies connected.

After a few minutes, Katrina pulled back from him and caressed the side of his face. "I love you Damon Garratt."

His insides warmed, as they did every time he heard those words uttered from her lips. Anything and everything could be wrong with the world and in his life and those words made it right for him.

"Love you too Katrina Garratt."

"Mmmmm. I love the sound of that."

He cocked a brow at her and smiled. "I love saying it."

"Oh shit!" A frown replaced her smile and she looked in horror at his arm where the catheter was placed.

Damon groaned inwardly and went to thrust his hand into his hair and groaned a second time when he realized he had no hair. He hadn't even noticed that the catheter had pulled out an inch and the wrapping was drenched with a mixture of water and lavender bubbles.

"Well, I guess the good doctor will be making a house call early this week."

She shook her head giving him a wry smile. "Gary is going to so pissed at you."

"Damn good thing I have money, because I have a feeling he's going to rape me financially for this."

~~ Two Months Later ~~

"It's been a long haul," Dr. Van Buren stated, opening Damon's file.

"It has," Damon agreed as he tightened his grip on Katrina's shoulders, pulling her tight to his side as they reclined on the black leather loveseat in Dr. Van Buren's office. Normally the meetings were done at his house in New York, but during the radiation treatments and on this occasion they were forced to travel to the clinic so they could speak to both Gary and the woman who took care of the radiation treatment, Doctor Vivian Rodrick.

Long haul, however, was hardly the term he'd use. It has been a marathon of hell, and Damon thanked God each and every day that Katrina came into his life when she did. She thought he did a lot for her, constantly chastising him for spoiling her, but whatever he did for her was nothing to the strength she gave him. Destiny was definitely on his side where meeting up with her again was concerned.

He looked down at Katrina and could see the worry and fear in her eyes. Not something he liked to see. She'd aged in the previous two months. The stress in combination with the morning sickness was getting to her and it broke his heart.

With his free hand he grasped hers, lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed her knuckles. This got her attention and she looked up at him.

I love you: he mouthed.

Her body relaxed slightly, and he saw the first smile of the day cross her lips as she mouthed: I love you.

The sound of Dr. Van Buren clearing his throat broken them from their moment and both sets of eyes became glued to him.

"So I have the results from the MRI and your blood work."

"And..." Damon prompted. Why in the fuck is Gary beating around the bush? Am I cured or no?

"I just want to make this clear that the results could change-"

"-is it gone or not Gary," Damon broke in.

A hint of a smile lifted the corners of Gary's lips and Damon's spirits lifted.

Gary held up a hand, "Just hear me out. When looking at the MRI results and blood work the cancer has receded and appears to be gone. But, you have to keep in mind that it can come back. I want to see your ass in here every three months for the next couple of years at least to ensure it stays that way. It has roughly a five year window to return before we can technically say you're cancer free. We got lucky, we caught it early. We don't want it sneaking back and catching us with out pants around our ankles." Doctor Van Buren's smile widened. "But all-in-all I feel confident in saying it's gone."

Damon closed his eyes and fell back into the cushions of the love seat, pulling Katrina with him and gathering her into his arms. The relief he felt was like nothing he'd ever experienced. It felt like he was given a second chance, and he'd be damned if he'd ever take what was most important in life for granted again.

The relief that Katrina was feeling was so intense that tears began to flow freely down her cheeks as she fell into Damon and held tight to him, burying her face against his neck. His shirt quickly became saturated with her tears as she fought to get herself under control.

"Hey, it's good news. Crying is for the bad stuff," Damon teased, speaking softly as he captured her chin and lifted her eyes to meet his.

She sniffed and wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. "Crying can be for the good stuff too," she defended, a smile emerging on her lips. "These are tears of happiness. Besides, I'm pregnant I'm allowed to be emotional."

He leaned down and kissed her lightly. "Good point." He ran his fingers through her hair, soothing her.

"Better."

"So much better," she confirmed.

The two doctors across the room were forgotten for a moment until the sound of Doctor Van Buren clearing his throat had them both turning their attention to him.

"So Katrina," Gary began.

Katrina nodded. "Yes Doctor."

"I need you to make sure he does what he's supposed to do. You have to make sure he makes his follow-up appointments. It has been known to come back, so we're still not out of the woods."

Katrina squeezed his hand and glanced back up at him, her smile wider than ever. "You bet Gary."

They were being given a chance and they were going to be a family. There was no way in hell she'd allow him to jeopardize their future to throw himself back into work like he had all his life. Not that he would. He'd been true to his word when they got married. He still spent a fair amount of time running the company, more than a normal person, but he wasn't as consumed as she suspected he once was.

Now, she and their child had become his new obsession and she doubted it would ever change. If any good came from this experience it brought them together, stronger than they ever were before. She'd been spending the past ten years searching for her Prince Charming and come to find out she'd had him all along.
